The Nail Ranch has been a working cattle ranch for well over one hundred years. The traditions of the old west are still alive and well, and very apparent as you make your way through the backcountry of this vast land.

The Nail has a wide diversity of terrain which encompasses everything from the gentle rolling grasslands to the rugged and rocky out-croppings that overlook the Clearfork of the Brazos river. Its 56,000 acres of prime habitat are home to many native species of wildlife. A typical three day hunt will allow you to see three hundred deer (one third of which are bucks), several hundred wild hogs, as well as turkeys, quail, ducks, coyotes, bobcats, and many other non-game animals. All wildlife are native to the area and are hunted under fair chase conditions. The ranch has no high fences or released game.

Our goal is to provide a quality hunt for a quality animal. We believe that a hunting trip should be more than the simple harvesting of an animal; it should be a quality hunting experience. Our guides are professionals in their field, giving 110 percent to ensure that you have the hunt of your dreams. To quote one of our long time customers:
"It's never boring."

Place a Bid for the Hunt of a Lifetime

The Nail Ranch is considered to be one of the finest hunting ranches in Texas to pursue Whitetail Deer. We receive hundreds of letters, calls, and e-mails each week from prospective clients asking to book a spot for a deer hunt. But due to the near 100% return customer rate and our lengthy waiting list, we often find it near impossible to include new folks into our list of clients.

For 2004 we are placing one hunt up for bid so that you will have the opportunity to hunt the famous Nail Ranch in the fall of 2004.

Included in the hunt package: Airport pickup and return to either Abilene or Albany airport, local transportation, four nights of lodging on the ranch, three full days of hunting, one-on-one guide service, one Trophy Buck of your choice, one Wild Boar, two whitetail does as well as incidental coyotes and bobcats. Also included is field care of the meat and preparation of trophies for the taxidermist.

Not included in the hunt package: Hunting license, taxidermy fees or fees associated with the shipping of meat.

Hunt must be taken during November or December of 2004. The winning bid holder will be required to pay a 50% non-refundable deposit within ten days of notification. BID DEADLINE IS SEPTEMBER 1st, 2004.

Minimum bid is $4500.00. Go to "Contact Us" at the top of this page to place your bid.
